Running VNC as a service is not a solution for me. I also tried several VNC clients - Remmina, Vinagre and vncviewer - but the problem occurred on all three. Therefore trying to hide it inside a VLAN or SSH tunnel will not help. It is not caused by an unreliable network because it has does this to me even while connected over my LAN. It almost works, but is extremely unreliable. ![]() Next I tried x0vncserver (from TigerVNC 1.9.0-4). I just cannot connect from my laptop back into my desktop. I can connect from the main desktop to my parents computers (which are Win10) with no problem. I tried TeamViewer, but all it ever does is tell me "Partner failed to connect to router." I tried to post a question on their forum, but after clicking on pictures of stoplights and buses for 10 minutes I gave it up. I have tried two different solutions, and neither of them is suitable. I need a way to connect to my main Fedora desktop from the Internet at large.
